# How to Scrape Kijiji Listings: Cars, Rentals and Classifieds to a Spreadsheet

## Why is Kijiji hard to scrape yourself?

- **Phone numbers are hidden** behind a reveal step on each ad, so a search page scrape never includes them.

- **The vehicle details live on each ad page**, not in search results, so you need one extra request per listing.

- **Kijiji rate-limits and blocks** repeated requests, and some content depends on a Canadian IP address.

- **Pagination and promoted ads** mean the same top ads repeat across pages and have to be de-duplicated.
